Do Cryptarch engrams even have a chance at a 1kys?

Because I've purchased at least a million of these things, and I've got nothing to show for it except a death star that I built entirely out of Panta Rhei's. Yeah, turns out if you strap 500,000 of them together, it makes a cannon that blows up planets.

What is the best way to get a shot at a 1kys roll?
