Extreme slowdown to my PC

SO, going to my friends house I brought my pc and all the things I needed with it (yes it sounds ridiculous but I had an editing project to do). I plugged my PC into a wall outlet, power levels seemed fine.

I then accidentally fell asleep before turning off my computer (just listing factors) when I somewhat awoke at 2 am I noticed the light on the power button blinking, this means the computer is in sleep mode. Later, at 9 am when I finally awoke, I noticed the light was off, and the entire computer as as well (I assume a power surge or something?).

When I booted it up I instantly noticed something was off. The startup time was normal, but when launching Adobe after effects it took much longer than usual. Scrubbing across the timeline was extremely laggy, and everything was slow. I then tried other applications. Even google chrome suffered, trying to click play on soundcloud, resize the window, ect. Every opoeration seemed slow.

I did what i could, cleared out my hardrive a bit, malwarebytes and ccleaner, errpr checking the harddrive, checking everything. I then ran Call of Duty Black ops 2 in order to see how the game ran. It had a few hiccups here and there and when playing with my friend he noticed my character was twitching lagging (yet still perfect ping, we were on lan).

I don't really know what the issue is but I also ran Prime95 to stress test my cpu but where the main thread is it said "Unable to detect some of the hyperthreaded logical CPUs", not sure if its significant just noting.
