Would you consider doing a show on how to set up a video podcast studio under Linux?

I'm considering setting up a studio to help people do video podcasts -- basically doing the shooting, editing, etc. and providing files to the client.

I think the target client is the non-technical, local person who wants to build a following around their topic -- be it political, social, technical, personal, whatever.

Big learning curve for me. If LAS had to do it over again today, what equipment and software would you use to keep it all open source, yet have a flexible and effective studio? I'm not sure I even have a good sense at this point of the parameters of the problem, to be honest.

I'm particularly interested in the number of Linux machines necessary, how to design the local network, what sort of cameras, switchers/mixers and microphones are optimal, and how best to enable a clean workflow.

It occurs to me that this might include things like asterix, tox, or some other things I'm utterly unfamiliar with.

I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in how the sausage gets made.

Aloha.
