Having a truck is empowering.
My husband is a little bit hoardy. I don't mind getting rid of stuff, but so often there's big stuff and I need him either to help move it, or to hook up the trailer and go to the dump. He tends to want to put this off (again, a little hoardy) and I am just stopped in my tracks.
For the past couple of months, we've been driving a pickup truck. This means I can just throw stuff in and go to the dump! I really just realized this this weekend. I got rid of so much trash. There were probably close to 100 empty cardboard boxes of various sizes just thrown haphazardly in the floor in hubby's office. Gone! In April, my son will be back home from USMC training (Reserves) and I can use his muscles to get the big stuff into the truck. (Like a GIANT non-working TV that's sitting on our carport.)
