Two kinds of players

So it seems to me there are two kinds of D&D players:

  1. Those who wish they could insert themselves into a fantastic world. Play the game as if they themselves were living in that world with badass weapons, strength, and magical powers.

  2. Those who want to step into another skin and develop a totally different persona. Play the game imagining they are someone else and the decisions they would make as that person.

Both are role playing, but boy oh boy do they clash when put in the same party as they don't understand eachothers decision making process.
