How often is your 8-9 month old nursing?
Hey everyone. I'm just wondering if my LO is getting too much solids or if the amount of nursing he's doing is normal for his age. He just about turned 9 months old, and the past couple of weeks he has sort of moved to 3 meals a day most days, not every day. Is this too much? He really likes eating and whenever he sees myself or husband eating he gets so excited.
Right now this is what his schedule looks like:
- nurse at wake time
- breakfast about an hour later
- nurse before 1st nap
- nurse after 1st nap
- lunch about an hour later
- nurse before 2nd nap
- nurse after 2nd nap
- not exactly dinner, more like a nibble/snack? about an hour later
- nurse before bedtime, between 6-7pm
- nurse at 9pm
- nurse at 12am
- nurse at 3am
The amount of solids he's having is not very much, maybe 2-3 tablespoons for breakfast and lunch, and about a tablespoon and a bit of fruit or snack or whatever I'm eating for dinner.
I'm planning to wean him off the 3am feed so I can get at least one long stretch of uninterrupted sleep lol, but I'm just worried that maybe he still needs that calories or something? Am I feeding him too much solids?
Do you mind sharing your LO's schedules, or maybe advice?
Thank you!
