NJPW Europe T-Shirt sizing question!

Hi guys, whoever can answer this i'll be very grateful. I've heard people say watch the sizing as it's a bit weird, and i'm ordering a shirt but it says to fit chest it's 42-44" for a large shirt. Surely that isn't right so if somebody can tell me what measurement they use so I can order the right size, that would be great! Thanks!
