CPU Advice: i5 6600K

I am currently debating whether or not to upgrade my current CPU to an i5 6600K. Would the upgrade be worth the price? Keep in mind that a CPU upgrade would also require a new motherboard. Also, my build is solely for 1080p gaming. But I do plan on upgrading that as well. Just not for another year or so.

Current CPU/GPU/RAM:

FX-8350 @ 4.0GHz GTX 970 8GB RAM DDR3
