[Insecurity/performance] Super insecure about medication-induced night sweats & afraid about sleepovers

Okay so this is so gross and embarrassing and I'm super insecure about it.

I'm [25F] on Lamictal, and one of the side effects is that it often (but not always) gives me really bad night sweats. Like I'm talking "waking up in the middle of the night and having to put on a different shirt because I'm so sweaty" bad. I've been on the medication for a little over a year and a half and it's been fantastic for treating my bipolar disorder, so this side effect isn't bad enough to warrant my going off of the medication, but it's pretty gross and inconvenient and like I said, I'm really insecure about it.

I'm not sure if r/sex is technically the best place to post this, but I'm sure someone out there can help answer this. In the case of having someone stay over, what is the best way to go about letting someone know about this? The last person I was involved in I was with for about a year and a half, and we didn't really do sleepovers because she was married (open relationship; her husband was well aware of our relationship). It's one of the big things stopping me from trying to initiate things with people*, because I don't know how to be like "I do want you to stay but I don't want to scare you off with how gross I am."

I apologize if something like this has been asked before. I tried searching and couldn't find anything, and the closest threads I could find were focused on straight men and I'm a bisexual lady so slightly different scenario. (For the record, I feel like women wouldn't be as bothered by this as men would be, but I have nothing to back that up so who actually knows.)

^(*One of the big things stopping me from trying to initiate things with other people...aside from literally everything ever #soinsecure Thank you, r/sex archives, for providing lots of helpful posts around this topic!)
