What kind of pipe for main line replacement?

My old cast iron main drain line is going to need to be replaced. I understand there are more than one options for replacement. The line will not have to go underground but will be suspended from the basement ceiling and will have to go maybe 40 feet or so. I use well water that is slightly acidic and has some iron in it. What material to select?
