I feel like I'm going to be sick. (Relationship issues)

I've been keeping an eye on my mii's lately for the romance options, because I've been wanting to finally get two of my miis together. Meep had been crushing on Akiko for the longest time, but when he told her how he felt, Cardinal came out of nowhere and stole her away, leaving me feeling pity for the poor eyebrow moustache guy. Of course, since Cardinal is consistently terrible at keeping any kind of relationship, they broke up fairly recently. So I was hoping that Akiko would finally realize that Meep has been right there the entire time.

But this has nothing to do with that.

Instead I somehow found not one, but TWO heart things when I checked the apartment building. I figured "Hey, maybe one of my mii's want another child" I was okay with that.

Nope. Both of the miis weren't married. I checked Lady first.

As it turned out, she wanted to propose to Theo. Okay. Kind of a waste of time and I wanted to check on what Will was worried about, but if it gets another couple out of it, sure.

So yadda yadda we go to the train station, which I don't often pick, but I didn't really care. I got to the question popping moment with two hearts, so I was feeling pretty comfortable.

Then, for some reason, it was taking FOREVER for Theo to think about Lady. You'd think one would be curious when your long-term girlfriend says she has a question for you, but I guess not.

So FINALLY he does, and I click it. But as it turns out, it swapped at the last moment.

Up until this point, the proposal game had been rather easy for me. I had been slightly nervous the first few times after reading how hard it was, but besides the first time, where I was just learning, and the second relationship, which I panicked the first time because I actively shipped those two, I had successfully arranged 7 couples without incident.

So I thought I could get it right this last chance. I just had to get it right ONE more time.

I didn't.

I wanted to strangle both of them right then and there.

It was the same distraction, too. Why would you remind someone that their favourite show was playing that night twice in quick succesion? WHY?!

I was just annoyed that Lady had wasted my time with that. Will wasn't any better, just asking if LADY OF ALL PEOPLE liked him. No sir. I know her original purpose was to end up with you, but you just ignored her up until this point. You missed your chance.

Now I feel sick from the stress. I always found the proposal game and the catch game terribly stressful.

In hindsight, I don't think Lady and Theo would make cute children together, either. Which is why I don't know why I'm so bothered by this.

Oh well.

Has anyone else had crazy plots like this happen? I'd like to hear them, it might comfort me slightly to know I'm not alone.
