Drifting away from Friends
So I'm lonely. I moved around a lot as a child and I was homeschooled and shy/awkward. Not exactly the greatest combination at the whole friendship making thing. Most of my friends came from online and while great, people tend to drift away. I've had my current "best friend" for eight years now.. and she's one of the very few that have kept in touch.
Now I'm getting married this year (hopefully, we're doing the visa process so it's in the governments hands) and I don't feel like anyone is truly excited for me. My best friend has stopped talking much, even though I had asked her to be a bridesmaid for me. Before he asked me to marry him, we were all super excited about wedding planning. Now that it's actually happened? Her ex-boyfriend was the one to look over colours with me.
There's just no one I feel that actually wants to be friends with me anymore. To just sit and talk. I know I'm the only one getting married, but that doesn't mean I'm not still interested in people's lives! They're just.. drifting farther and farther away and it's just hard to make new friends after a certain age.
Also my fish just died after two years. I feel guilty for being relieved so then I didn't have to figure out who to give him to when I moved. (Totally random ending, I know).
