For the people who still wear a garmin Fenix 2 and/or FR 230

As of today I can get a fenix 2 for ~250$. I keep waffling between it and a FR230. I run and hike. No interest in cycling or swim but I do want to use it as a daily watch and it would be nice if at work I could see who is texting by watch but not charge daily. I can't see spending up to a fenix 3. I cant find current info on the fenix 2 do thats why im here. If you have a fenix 2 or FR 230 please tell me what you think :)
