Beginner here. Question about keeping violin in tune.
OK so, I just got my first violin the other day. It is an electric cecilio.(if that helps in any way to know what's happening) I'm not completely new to this.. Well ok I am. I played the bass for a while on and off..progressed to slapping before deciding to try this.
Anyways! I am having a serious problem keeping it in tune. I have no experience with wood on wood tuning I'm not sure what's going on but it will only stay in tune for maybe a minute. I am hoping its just because the last few days have been crazy humid where I live. Maybe swelling of the pegs? I feel like the g and d are slipping out of tune almost immediately for opposite reasons. The G peg seems to not want to keep tension whereas the d is getting stuck. I'm hoping for any suggestions here before I cave and take it up to the music shop.
Thanks!
