Can you go whitewater rafting on the Ocoee during March? Should I avoid it?

I'm trying to plan a whitewater rafting trip with some friends, and March 5th looks like the best weekend. Is this too soon? I'm getting the impression that march isn't quite "season" but would it still be worthwhile? Or should we wait a few months to get the best experience?

Any suggestions about companies to use would be much appreciated. Also any camping or climbing location suggestions would be awesome!
