I'm doing a bad thing...

We've been having some major sleep issues for the past 2 months. First, it was the start of daycare and constant sickness. Now, we thought he was teething but have yet to see any teeth, although we see them below the gum.

95% of the time, he wakes up immediately when we put him in the crib. The other 5% of the time when it works, he is awake in 30-45 min. We've resorted to sleeping in the recliner with him since we were desperate for some sleep. This is also how he naps with us.

Tonight I decided I wanted to try to get him down. On the fourth failed try, as he started to awake, I decided to roll him over on his tummy. He immediately went back to sleep. I think he's so accustomed to sleeping on his stomach on our chest, maybe the back sleeping isn't comfortable for him? Maybe he has trouble in his half asleep state of rolling over when he's put down on his back and wakes up instead?

We have the angelcare monitor, but I'm still sitting here wide awake wondering 1) did that really work; and 2) are the SIDS gods going to strike me down? He definitely has rolled over before both ways, but he doesn't do it often.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that got this desperate?

Edit: He slept for 5 straight hours. It has been 2 months since he's slept that long... It was glorious.
