Best profession combination?

I'm not one to do professions in any game, but I wanted to start making gold in this game other than dailies and pvp for soulstones; what are the best professions to take for making gold? And just out of curiosity, what combination is best for self improvement on your character? (Such as getting the cooking profession for the food buffs or the one for the crafted soulshields for infusion)
