Any places near Fresno that teach primitive technology?

I've been watching this guys channel for awhile and he always get front page on reddit and I know how beautiful areas around Fresno are like Yosemite and got to thinking there has to be people who teach this sort of stuff? Or anything even remotely related to this type of thing? Groups who offer camping trips or something?
