No, "forced volunteer" does not mean "servant/slave" so stop treating me as such.

Short

First, let me preface this with some backstory. Down in Australia we have a "work for the dole" program. As such, for 6 months at a time we get a list of "jobs" and are told to attend one as a volunteer for the period, thus, forced volunteering. We are not employed by the place, we are just there to help so that the government will continue to pay us. Now on to the rant.

I'm currently volunteering at a not for profit charity store. We deal with furniture and small items. Pretty easy work. My "boss" is pretty easy going. As long as we do something through the day, she doesn't care.

One of the paid staff, on the other hand, assumes full control over us. She'll tell us what to do, she'll bark at us for shit we didn't do, to the point that we got yelled at earlier for something that none of us were witness to. She pretty much makes this place hell to work when she's on.

If she were a manager or assist manager, I'd take it on the chin because I don't have a choice. Since she's just a generic staff member though, it really fucking irks me. You aren't a boss, we aren't slaves. We're forced to work this shitty place and you aren't helping by being a fucking nazi. I can't wait for 6 months to be up so I can be done with here.
