Why does Bitcoin Core node count change by 100-300 each day? It seems to be periodic. Anyone have any answers?

If you look at http://nodecounter.com it shows that the bitcoin core node count is going up and down by 100-300 each day. If you look at the other node types, they aren't following this periodic model.
