Platform Developer developer 2 programming assignment tips?

I just passed the Platform Developer 2 multiple choice exam last week and was wondering if anyone who's had experience with the programming assignment had any tips? I've never met anyone with the advanced developer certification, so I'm not really sure on how the assignment is given.

If anyone is interested, check my blog post on how it went. https://lvangblog.wordpress.com/

My advice to prepare for this part of the Platform Developer 2 certification is to really focus on the study guide. Don't bother too much on memorizing ever single detail in the VF/Apex developers guide.
