In Response to Toby_Zeiger and the Disillusioned Northeast Democrats

Currently, in the Northeast State, the Lt. Governor nomination of u/explosivehorse has failed, as well as every other bill/amendment submitted such as the amendment to create a Chief Justice to serve as the entire judicial branch, handpicked by the governor and then affirmed or rejected by the legislators.

u/Toby_Zeiger was curious as to why none of the bills except the Waterways Bill, submitted by a WUO member, had passed.

It is because the Socialists in the Northeast State denounce the governor's plan to use his veto power to subvert democracy and shoot down a Direct Democracy amendment to the constitution, which one of the members of his party called "totalitarian." Yes, because letting the people of the state have a role in democracy is so totalitarian!

Therefore, until the Direct Democracy Amendment is allowed through, the Socialists will be denying the Democrats these things:

  • Their judicial branch amendment
  • Their culture bill
  • Their lieutenant governor position
  • The governor his cabinet, which must be confirmed by the legislators according to the constitution
  • Any bills that the Democrats create

This will continue to happen until the governor agrees to have a discussion on not abusing his veto powers to dismiss bills which benefit the people. Therefore, I suggest u/Toby_Zeiger and the Democrats open up the phone lines, lest they get nothing done the entire term while we pass our bills.

The Socialists will be standing in solidarity with the people and the workers of the Northeast State to fight back against all pro-corporation, anti-worker Northeast Democrats.
