Would it be useful if there were a list of the pros and cons?

On the wiki, as a resource for lurkers.

I was having a conversation on another sub on how, where I live, there are almost no legal advantages to be a married couple as opposed to a non married couple. In most laws, an unmarried couple that lives together maritally is considered and treated like a married couple. There are a few aspects in which they are treated differently though, so it can sway someone's opinion on marriage in a direction or in another. But still, I think this is an interesting piece of information since no one really gets educated on legal stuff and getting married can be a decision that holds a lot of new legal rights and obligations depending on where one lives.

So, long short story, I was wondering if we could talk about the legal advantages and disadvantages of marriage here, by region/state/country, so it could be put in the wiki.
