Advice for Getting Over the "100 subscriber" hurdle?

Look, I'm not the kind to think that I'll get super-famous on Youtube overnight. In fact, I'm not really looking for fame and fortune in general. But this has been bothering me for the past couple weeks since I started my channel.

In my opinion, we're doing everything "right" in terms of quality and quantity of our videos. I say "we" because my channel's a co-op between my friend and I. It's the marketing aspect that we're having trouble with. Honestly, the amount of personal friends who would be willing to subscribe to us is quite low, so I didn't expect all my facebook friends to jump on my channel bandwagon straight away. Still, I'd think we'd have more than just seven subscribers at this point. In fact, only one of our subscribers isn't personally related to us.

In summary, our videos aren't getting "out-there" for people to see. I thought I've tagged our videos very well, yet this still hasn't helped us one bit. I know competition in the gaming field is incredibly fierce, yet you'd think we'd have more subscribers by now than a 12-year-old Rocket League player who doesn'y understand the value of thumbnails.

I was hoping a more established lets-player on this subreddit could enlighten me on what I'm doing right-and-wrong with the channel. It would be a huge help.
