Trying to encrypt my phone after rooting, keeps getting stuck in a bootloop.

It seems I decrypted my phone when I rooted it to install Xposed, and now it keeps getting stuck in a bootloop when I try to encrypt it. Occasionally when I try to restart it as well, it also gets stuck in a bootloop. Is this because of Xposed or have I done something wrong?
