Is this normal?

So I was hauling 112 tons of imperial slaves from picaurukan to uibuth for the CG and I set course for economy because I wanted to get there without stopping.

That didn't go as planned, because literally every single one of the 38 h-jumps I was interdicted by a pirate. Every single one. It was ridiculous. By interdiction 10 I was getting tired of it so I switched to blowing them up instead of running. It took 6 hours to traverse 200ish ly.

Has this happened to anyone else? It is tedious that pirates only spawn when you have cargo (lazy) but this was crazy.

I should note that I am an xbone player if that matters to anyone.
