Growing questions

Hi. Just trying to get some info. So I recently moved to Boston. On Mar 1 I'll be signing a lease as well as seeing a compassionate doc. I'll have a separate room to grow. What are the cultivation laws? I know you need a hardship, which I most likely don't qualify for. Is cultivation possible, legally? My roommate is OK with it and I'm willing to take the misdemeanor charges if the worst happens (that is, getting caught). I'm thinking 8 flowering, no veggies.
