Would you recommend EUIV?

Hi there, I know this isn't directly related to CK2, but r/europauniversalis seem a little dead in comparison to this sub so... well! I have Ck2 and all it's DLC's and I just love it, but I wanted to try a game with more shooting, I would prefered a modern game that was played in the middle 1800's (a Victoria III for example). I really like being a character and the role play that's in CK2 and I know EU IV is more like a Total War game: you are "mr. country" and your rule is absolute, there is none of "I start as a vassal" of course, but is EUIV worth it then? D: Is it harder or at least "as hard" as CK2?
