I'm going to make a piece repaired with kumosukori (explanation below) and I'm wondering if you guys have any tips.
Kumosukori is the art of repairing a porcelain piece with a type of laquer, Urushi, infused with gold leaf. I want to make a piece like this and use the container to make a candle (something else I dabble in.) This is going to be a gift for someone with a history of self harm (given the whole thing that the piece is more beautiful for being broken), which I identify with because I've done it myself. I actually got the idea from one of the top posts on r/selfharm. Anyways, if anyone has experience working with porcelain and more importantly Urushi, I'd really appreciate some advice. Thank you!
