Really frustrated with the healing process of my damn nose ring..

It's been 4 weeks since I got my nose pierced. The healing process has been hell. I've been washing it twice a day with saline solution, inside the nose and out. A keloid appeared out of nowhere two weeks in, and god damn that thing is fucking everything up. The ring itself is being pushed down due to the keloid (which is above the ring), and its consequently shifting the angle of the piercing; it's not perpendicular to the skin anymore, its more at an angle. A quick google image search shows what i'm talking about. It's more drastic, but that's what's happening. pic here. I've been doing sea salt pastes with hot water every night and as you can see it's really fucking up my skin. It's so dry, and even the skin itself is getting torn up. I included a pic of the other side of my nose for skin comparison. i don't have the best skin, but i don't have the kind of skin these treatments are lending me. The keloid is not going away, and has BARELY reduced in size. I'm getting really frustrated and am contemplating just removing it. what do you think?

I was told the ring is surgical grade steel, and have a grade 23 titanium ring on the way to see if maybe the material itself is causing aggravation.
