I just bought a cheapy Linksys EA2700 router from Goodwill for $7, loaded DD-WRT on it, and set it up as a wireless repeater bridge for my existing home router. My house now has sweet wall-to-wall Wifi, AMA.
I followed this brief tutorial for the most part, with a few changes:
