Returning Veteran

So I haven't played Heroes Charge in at least a year and I'm not very familiar with all the changes they've made in that time, aside from a few major appearance changes cough Lunar Guardian, Commando, Savage One cough so I decided to restart. My best line up right now is Lightning Elemental, Poisoned One, Wandering Spearman, Chaplain and Commander with all but Commander being blue +1 and everyone i have being max level 36. I have Succubus, Wind Master, Sniper, Lightning Master, Commando, and Rifleman on bench at varying promotion due to wanting to keep my main team up to snuff. My question is how can i change up my current team to better get through crusades and arenas? Who should I be concentrating on?
