Why is /r/breakingdad private and /r/breakingmom not?

I saw a similar thread asking about r/breakingdad from roughly two months back, but nobody really had a good answer, so I thought that I'd pose a similar question. When my wife was pregnant a couple of years back, r/breakingdad, at the time public, was a refreshing subreddit full of guys who let off steam about their day to day lives. It had a different atmosphere than r/daddit, as that subreddit tends to focus more on how cute their kids are.

I remember a post on r/breakingdad announcing r/breakingmom, and a while later, r/breakingdad went private. What happened to cause r/breakingdad to become private, and why hasn't the same thing happened to r/breakingmom?
