Finding Myself in League

Hey guys. So, recently I've felt kind of down on my league play. I'm not quite sure why, but I'm trying to figure it out. Some of you may know that I'm that malzahar player. I feel perfectly happy with that. However, it's recently come to light that I simply can't stick with that. All of the tforce guys I play with know to ban it immediatly, and I can't seem to rely on getting it in ranked. Any other champions I play I can't seem to be impactful on. Even worse, with the malz rework coming up, I can't rely on the one trick I know being still there. I need a backup plan.

So, what I'm going to do is run a challenge for myself. I am going to play every single champion in the game. I already have five or six games on all of them. Most I have at least ten. The difference is; I'm going to play them in ranked. In a format where people take games seriously, I am going to figure out what I play best.
Now; one concern is that I'm ruining other peoples' games. To prevent that, I'm going to establish some ground rules. First, I will not blind pick any champion in ranked that I am not comfortable on. If I am not comfortable with them, I will practice in normals first. Second, I will not force a champion into a spot it does not belong.

I am currently ranked Gold 1, and may or may not provide some updates. If I find a champion that just clicks like malz did, I may choose to stick with it. Until then, I'm going to try this. This is also going to be a long term project. I will be playing games on my main while doing this.
The other goal I have is to reach 100 ranked wins on malz. I will be working on that intermittently in the mean time. I hope that this provides some encouragement to anyone that's kinda lost and stuck. Try other things! They exist.

If anyone has any recommendations as to my situation or champs to play first, I'd love to hear it. I really don't know how else to branch out. I'm always a fan of new stuff, especially if it's not FOTM.
