Relatively, Is a silver to a challenger, what a intermediate bot is to a silver?

After playing League for a little bit i've often wondered on what the skill level of challenger players is like (top 200 in a region if i'm not mistaken).

Especially after focusing on improving, i've thought, how much better can someone actually get?

I've read about the differences of low elo players compared to high elo players, i've come across things like more warding, perfect cs, perfect mechanics, but how does a challenger view going against a team of silvers? How easy is it? (assuming 4 silver + 1 challenger vs 5 silver); is it like a silver going in a custom with just intermediate bots. If yes, how is it possible to become this good?
