I [F, 19, somewhere on the spectrum] am taking a break from university until January at the latest. What are some things I could work on, and some things I might be hopeful for when I go back?
My last assessment was when I was 13 (DSM-IV) and I was high functioning PDD-NOS at the time. I was led blindly through some therapy, mostly academic, in high school, but only learned my diagnosis in full last year. I've left school in my sophomore year, as social skills and executive functioning are relentless. Right now, I'm working out 5x a week, volunteering, taking online classes casually, seeing life coaches and psychiatrists, and doing local things (Southern California) while considering a reassessment. I was wondering if there were other suggestions. I also, while I'm not clinically depressed/anxious, have been feeling moody and disheartened and would kill for a good success story. Thanks!
