Injury: Wrist Tendons?

Hey all! About three months ago I woke up after a day of bouldering outside (prior to many months training on a hang board) and I could not weight my left hand at all; a downward or outward pull would immediately cause intense pain in what felt like the back of the hand, and also the wrist. If I pushed the top of my hand towards my forearm (palm down), then I would get extreme pain in the back of the hand and wrist. I have tried to rest it, but have not totally stopped climbing for the past three months, and I can now climb, but I still get pain if I push on the top of my hand towards my forearm in the wrist and back of the hand. The pain is located more on the middle/thumb side of the hand. After a climbing session, if I shake my hand in the air, I can feel pain in my wrist. If I touch the tendons in the wrist and a couple inches up my forearms, they are tender. I have had pulley/finger injuries and this doesn't feel like those. I went to a doctor and he said I could have strained the connectors between my fingers.... Any advice would HELP so much. Thanks!
