"Andrea Hair Growth Essence"? Girlfriend added it to our shampoo and it seems to be helping a bit.. Thinking of getting a more reputable brand and hoping for better?

So I accepted my bald patch at 25 and just trimmed my hair really short. Then six months ago, my girlfriend was losing some hair and added it to the shampoo we use and then she noticed that my bald patch was getting a bit smaller. I never considered that it might affect me. It's a herbal thing from AliExpress and I really don't believe in that stuff but it does seem to be working a bit.

Now I've got an interest in having hair again and would be happy to spend more on a well-known thing that might work better. Are these herbal things all a bit BS or is there a chance that my baldness is caused by something that can be fixed by them?
