LA to San Diego and Back

Hey everybody, I got my PPL a few months ago and I'm new to the SoCal area, and I was thinking this would be a really cool flight to do:

I'd be in a Cessna 150. Has anyone flown this route before? I'm sure it's pretty popular. I'm just curious if there are any particular radio calls/landmarks etc I should be aware of. I assume I'd need some airspace transitions, and be sure to stay clear of Camp Pendleton.
