Australian online play? Worth?

Good afternoon Reddit. I'm a PC gamer who has secured myself a ps3 to finally play Demon's Souls.

Just wondering if it's worth paying $10 (For a month of PSN) to access the online content? I know $10 isn't much but i don't really want to pay it if the PvP is non-existent.

Also any idea what server Australians connect through? US, EU, etc?

Many thanks :)
