Desktop motherboard replacement help
My motherboard recently died and I've been looking to replace it. I would like to upgrade it at the same time while keeping some of the components (memory/video/cooler).
The motherboard was a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 (with an i7-930 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.8 GHz LGA 1366) cooled by a Cooler Master Seidon 120M. Memory was CORSAIR XMS3 12GB (6 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) and a EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ video card.
I'd like to replace the board and CPU salvaging the memory, video and cooler. I'm a fan of ASUS boards but not stuck on the brand. I like the speed of the i7 quad core for games, CAD, 3D printing (slicing). If I have to upgrade the video due to the the PCI 2.0 x16 slot that's fine, but it would obviously save me cash if I didn't have to. Any suggestions on a board that will accommodate swap?
