Far Cry 4 Co-Op Crashing

I've been having an issue with Far Cry 4. Both me and my friend bought this game, simply because we were interested in the co-op portion of the story mode. However, upon loading the game and giving it a crack, we found that whether it's me joining him or vice versa, the game crashes after loading about four-fifths of the bar. After looking around for about an hour I couldn't really find a concise answer on how to fix it. Figured Ubisoft would be a bit better than this, but instead I'm only finding people saying they're having an issue, and no answer in sight. Any answers on how to fix this are welcome and appreciated.
