4mg/d Xanax XR, Primary Insomnia, PTSD, Social Anxiety, what do?

I work for a bank and can not lose the position I hold there. I need to remove the 4mg/d of Xanax from my life due to the negative side effects. I am trying to turn my life around and get to the 80+ hour work weeks. However, Xanax keeps me fogged and unable to have the razor focus I absolutely need. If this is in the wrong sub please forward me in the right direction. I'd just like some opinions / options / advice in order to get off the Xanax as fast as possible. I have been on this dose for 3 years after my father committed suicide, going from no Xanax to 4mg XR within weeks. I have recovered from the PTSD since, however Xanax itself has its' own disassociating properties that are now holding me back although it saved my in the short term. My doctors are non-receptive to tapering due to my history, and I will also be seeking professional help but I would like to know the opinion of people who know. Is it even possible for me to do a cold turkey cut off, with coffee, motion sickness tablets, strong willpower, and the fortitude it takes to do so? Or is it just too risky, and there are other alternative suggestions worth considering. The kicker is I have severe insomnia, I don't mine not sleeping properly for two years (Apx time to recover) but I want to really be sure that it is a functional solution rather than a pipe dream. 24/M 160lb please advise. If you have any other questions, I'd love to work with you and inform you of the rest of the situation.
