What do the words "analog" and "digital" mean to you, which do you prefer, and why?

I'm doing a school project comparing "analog" and "digital" - comparing the technology as well as the cultural connotations. Since this is a topic that's likely to overlap into music a lot, I thought i'd ask r/Music about it.
