MSI gt72 Dominator keeps disconnecting from the internet.

This is only on my laptop.. my desktop has a perfect connection, but when i lose the connection on my laptop, i will click troubleshoot which fixes the issue and says "reset the wifi adapter" while resolving the issue the problem found is "the default gateway is not available" which is fixed and the connection is restored.. just for it to lose connection minutes later. What could be causing this?
