Future of Gaming Channel on Youtube

Hiya guys, this post is the exact copy of the one I made in youtube subreddit. But, I think it's more relevant here!

I'm Hazelpixel and recently I made a youtube gaming channel (original, I know). Over the past few days, I spent my days lurking in the internet trying to learn about SEO, keywords, anything like that. I stumbled along a forum that talks about how gaming commentary channel won't grow any further because there's too many channel doing the exact same thing because how big gaming commentary gets. I didn't even trying to make money on youtube, but the idea that youtube gaming has grown stale makes me think twice about growing my gaming channel. I still uploads daily video and didn't stop promoting my own videos, but then doug walker incidents and fine bros happened and now it really makes me afraid of youtube, and this time for various reasons.

TL;DR version: Should I continue my youtube gaming channel regardless of current events or just quit entirely? I know this is a very sensitive topics, and from my personal view, I like doing youtube video, even when I know I only make amateur, sloppy and pointless gaming videos.

What do you guys think? I really like some of you guys opinions before deciding what to do with my channel :) thanks for reading my wall of text, btw
