Sampling vs. Original instrumentals?

i've noticed vaporwave has generalized itself more as a genre open to instrumentals, while others have remained lenient on sampling, chopping up older songs.

instrumentals i've noticed are influenced a lot by trap, future bass, etc.

do you guys prefer original instrumentals or slowed-down sampling in the art of vaporwave?
