Sarah's Senior Year - Part 3: Persistence
Sarah’s fantasies continued. She alternated between masturbating over Dan and David. She thought David was much more attractive, but barely knew him and was able to construct much richer stories about Dan. One night she tried to return to an old story about a football player in her class. However, the vanilla sex was not enough to satisfy her, and she quickly switched back. Despite her virginity, sex alone was just not enough for her dreams.
One night, she decided to take the cigarette David offered her. She tried to imagine the taste and the sensation as she played with her clit. Frustrated that she couldn’t recreate the high, she looked for alternatives. Eventually she got up, made herself a triple espresso, and drank it in one go. She enjoyed the buzz she got, imagining how she would feel after a cigarette.
After seeing David walk through school one day, she decided she needed to take action. She assumed that the group would always smoke outside school at the end of the day, and concocted a lie to her parents about how she would need to stay late all week. On Monday after school, she went to the library and worked for most of an hour. Then, she went to the bus stop expectantly.
Sure enough, Dan, David, and the girl were there, sitting down. There was one more space to sit, and so she did -- right next to David. She smiled at them. She got a half-hearted smile back from Dan, but they otherwise ignored her. Sarah wanted to talk, but was too scared. She was downwind from them, and so when they lit up, the scent was obvious, and the second-hand smoke drifted visibly past her. She became immediately wet at the thought, and wanted more than anything to be in her bed, masturbating. It was torture. She wanted to do something, say something, anything. But she sat there, too scared.
She repeated her plan on the second day. Again, the three were at the bus stop, smoking. This time, she was determined to say something. She thought about what it could be all day, but couldn’t come up with ideas. She decided to roll with it. When she arrived, she said hi, and they all said hi back. Thankfully, she sat next to Dan this time. She knew nothing about him really, and she didn’t have a very interesting life, so she went with the only thing she knew.
“Hey Dan,” she asked, “how’s that literature project going?”
The three of them looked over at Sarah in disapproval.
“Sarah, what the fuck?” he asked. “Why are you talking about school? I really don’t care.”
Sarah gave a weak giggle. “Yeah, sorry. I know I’m a bit of a nerd.”
“You’ve got that right,” Dan responded.
It went as terribly as she expected, but she decided she’d at least broken the ice. She went on to complain about a teacher they had, which Dan could agree with. However, she quickly ran out of material and went silent. The girl -- who Sarah found out was named Crystal -- brought up a party to the other two that was that coming weekend. They talked about it for a bit.
“Who’s party is it?” Sarah bravely interrupted.
“Oh it’s a guy David’s work, you don’t know him,” Dan started.
“It’s not your scene,” Crystal finished assertively.
When Sarah got on the bus, she was confident that she had made progress with the group. She would try and come up with more relatable topics for the next day.
