PC UR Dragon Gen 73
The online Ur Dragon is a non-story-related late-game raid boss that requires the participation of the entire community to bring down. The purpose of this continuing series of topic posts is to share/discuss the status of the current Generation's health, in order to make it easier for any player reading this to bag a kill.
Questions about the online's Ur's mechanics are considered on-topic, but keep in mind that there is a lot of good information about the online Ur Dragon here.
73 has spawned, a supertank with very high DEF, possibly lower MDEF. The damage cap is as of yet unknown.
The lives of Gens 69, 70, 71 and 72 blipped by in a flash; 72's grace was normal, for Ur Dragon values of normal; 45 minutes. Gen 68 was partially broken due to a spawning error left over from 66's grace sync. 66 was a normal Dragon with a short grace, and 67 followed and died very quickly. Gens 61 through 65 were freakiskly frail and of short duration. 59's grace was a short one and 60 lasted all of about an hour, super squishy. Gen 58 spawned and died within a half hour, a super squish. Generation 57 was a normal dragon, with a normal grace period of about 40-45 minutes. Gen 56 was a normal dragon, with a normal grace period of approximately 45 minutes. Generation 55 was a super squish and had (for Ur Dragon values of normal) a normal Grace of about 40-ish minutes. 54 and 53 had very short graces. 52 was a relatively squishy, normal dragon with a 45 minute Grace. 51 was super squishy, and had a 40-45 minute grace. 50's Grace, FOR THE FIRST TIME, lasted approximately 45 minutes and upon spawning, 51 did not throw any 0.7 instances. 48's grace lasted about 5-10 minutes, 49's was about 45 minutes long.
It is looking like the Ur is a fecking unpredictable troll.
WARNING: Once Grace has been called, there is a possibility that the Ur will once again go through a chain of fast Graces. CHECK HERE FOR REPORTS TO FIND OUT if the Ur has re-spawned and died again since there will not be time to make appropriate new topic posts for each of those Gens; make sure you also go back into the Chamber of Lament to check for yourself.
Protip: leave a couple of Wakestones on the floor since if they vanish the next time you enter, that will instantly indicate a new Gen.
Gra-a-a-aaace!
Once Grace is seen, please post a single exclamation, which is ! grace, without the space. Don't use the string term until it happens.
You can set an alarm for Grace:
Chrome has a plug-in called Auto Refresh Plus (or a variant) that will pick up a unique string on the page. Set this to the string term. ARP can be set to refresh in intervals of a second up to 300 seconds long; since the Ur's grace period appears to be, um, variable as all hell, I suggest a 1 minute refresh on your sources. It's possible to set the alarm, put your team at the door of Lament and go to bed.
DAMAGE CAP
If you do not see "Accessing server..." at the end of the round, you have exceeded the damage cap. Scale back or leave early. You must learn to judge that moment for yourself, because party composition and loadout varies from player to player. Your only clue will be the server message at round's end; this does not apply when the Dragon is in Grace.
Reporting health:
Report the health going in, not going out. The player's damage is transmitted to the collective that is "The Online Ur Dragon" at the moment the game says "Accessing server..." at the end of the round, so reporting it when the Ur Dragon displays its health bar on landing is more accurate.
....and about reading that Health Bar:
The health bar represents how far the Ur Dragon has to be damaged in order for the next bar starts counting down, and the number indicates how many bars still need to be depleted. The dots also serve as a ruler indicating the progression of the current bar; each one corresponds to 5% of one bar.
The Dragon starts with 11.0 as its full health, which looks like this:
As an example, if it presents with the number 5 and has 4 dots, then its health is 5.2.
I want a quick look at its health!
It is in testing; use it in conjunction with the current topic for best results.
When Grace's clarion call goes out across the internet--
Kill it. The Grace dragon will spawn with anywhere from 1 to 15 hearts. You have one job, Arisen-- destroy every single one of those hearts in one round.
Expect chaos and mayhem in terms of spawning multiple Graces, until further notice.
Here is a list of potential loot rewarded for logging a kill on the online Ur Dragon.
About those loot drops: The Ur is dying very, very fast in Grace. Capcom confirmed a while ago that there's a finite number of objects that can be on the arena floor at one time. If you do not pick up the bits and pieces of Dragon the Ur's hearts drop as they blow up and die, you run the risk of missing loot bags out of the full drop of eight in the Monument Room.
