Fifi is a sick bun and we love her very much
Hello r/Rabbits, this is Fifi...
She is 10 years old, she hasn't been eating well, and had some changes in her behavior. She hasn't been eating hay, and has lost quite a bit of her body weight. The vet gave her some critical care food, which thankfully she's been eating up (tastes like apples and bananas, and it's loaded with nutrients). But we think it is just coming close to her time to go, and we are very sad.
Fifi has been a companion and part of the family for many years, and we love her so very much and it breaks our heart to see her in pain. We wish she could be part of our family forever, but we know that this cannot be the case.
We give her as much love and and comfort as possible, we remember all the good times and the joy she has given in our life. And most of all we treasure every moment we have with her.
If anyone has any experience with this that they can share to help us cope with what we are going through please let us know.
